Talya from 7 weeks till 11 weeks old....

Now back from Myrtle Beach and into a normal life and routine again. In a way it is nice and in a way not! You could tell that Talya liked to be back - she missed all her toys and things to do around the house. We didn't have as much to do for her at Myrtle Beach, but mommy and daddy had more to do! She became more alert and talk-a-tive again!

So Cute sitting there in her green boppy looking up at mommy - so mommy could not resist to get a snap shot! She loves to just sit there and observe her surroundings now!

Aunt Jaime got this little tennis outfit for Talya at my shower. I just wanted to get a picture of her in it because she looked like a cute little prep with the visor and all. She just needs a little racket next to her.

Mommy got another little photo session again of Talya below.....
I can't resist when she is in her little pretty dresses on Sundays for Church, so it now seems to be a ritual every time we go to Church to get a photo session afterward. Poor little girl!
She doesn't seem to mind that much though and is becoming quite a good picture taker in my opinion!

All smiles!

Concentrating on the people around her!

Now getting Bored with it and wants to do something else...

Mommy is not done yet though and now wants to get picture of the matching hat that definitely does not fit her head! I just wanted to show how big it was, it seems they always make the hats to big that come with the outfits - so you can't use them in till they don't wear the outfit anymore. It looks crazy and cute at the same time!

Talya does not know what to make of the hat...

She is thinking about how she could get the hat off of her!
Lately, she has been putting everything in her mouth that she can get ahold of... which is not much yet...thank goodness.

Sucking her thumb intently. She is now mostly a thumb-sucker. She occassionally takes a pacifier when she can't find her thumb, but I think she is in transition. We have gone to get her a few times in the morning and find her sucking her thumb in her crib. She gets really bad and throws a temper when she can't get ahold of it as soon as she would like and that makes it even harder to get ahold of for her then! She will master it soon enough!

Talya with her "Nanny" (Great grandma). She seems to really like it and is having fun. Nanny could not wait to see and hold her great grandkids - Talya and Savannah again!

We had a 21st Birthday party that evening for my cousin Sherri at my parent's house... and my family was there to all celebrate. Talya was worn out by the end of the day with all the attention she got as well, even though it was not her Birthday. She "cooed" for everyone and was having some baby talk that night.

Pops loves his little grand-daughters!

Talya now uses her "Jumperoo" toy and has so much fun in it! She jumps and sways around like a crazy baby and it is fun to watch her. Her whole face lights up like a Christmas tree when you put her in it and she is the most content when she is in that verse any other toy we have for her. Mom-mom knick-named her "Tiger" because of that and because when she is held, she loves to be bounced on your arm.

I usually use some of the time she is in that to read and sing to her and she listens intently while she jumps away. I sometimes think she is dancing in it because when the music that plays with it gets really wild, so does she with her swaying.

Daddy is playing with Talya in her "Jumperoo" and talking and laughing with her as well. It was their bonding time!

as you can see...she loves her daddy and also her "Jumperoo", full of little giggles.

the only way we can have her use it right now is when we put a cardboard box below it for her feet to touch. She is not tall enough, but is capable of using it besides being petite - so we made that change to it. She should, hopefully, be tall enough soon that we will not have to use it anymore.

She gets so worn out in the "Jumperoo" that she sometimes starts falling asleep in it. The one day it was just to cute, as she found her thumb while jumping and started to lean her head on the side of it and drift off. Mommy got the hint and moved her to her swing after that for her afternoon nap.

We took a trip the other week again to our cousins (bestfriends) house for the evening and had a lot of fun. We always do have fun when we go and have lots to talk about. I am sure Talya recognizes Staci's voice from all the discussions we have had with her when she was in my tummy.

Their daughter, Makenzie was to cute when we were there - copying everything we did with Talya to her little dolly.

Talya and dolly in their swings. (I know Makenzie has a name for her dolly, but I can't remember it right now)

Talya and dolly dancing on their blankets....

Talya and dolly going for a ride.....

Talya and dolly going for a stoll with Makenzie and Madden too! We took a walk that night since it was so nice around the development a little.

I decided to try putting Talya in the actual stroller itself, instead of the carseat attachment. She can look around more this way and see her surroundings. The other way all she can see is mommy and she sees her all the time. She seemed to really like it that way a lot and so I put her that way most of the time now. I wouldn't do it if it didn't have te 5 point harness at all, but that makes it a lot more safe for someone her size.

There she is going for her stroll and loving it. She loved looking around at the outside and also observes her feet too when she is in it.

July 4th...
I only have one picture of her on July 4th because she was being held a lot that day and when she wasn't being held she was either nursing, sleeping or screaming! Mommy quick took a quick shot of her before she passed her off again after nursing. She is always happy after nursing with a full tummy, even if it is short lived.

We went to my Uncle John & Aunt Donna's house that day. It is tradition and also the most attended event of the year for the "Garis's" and the most fun with volleyball, inground pool, jacuzzi, picnic food, lots of desserts and a bouncy thing that my Uncle rents each year for the kids. We always have about 80 people attend each year consistanly, that my Aunt told me. Our family keeps growing too with 4 other people pregnant right now in the family and I am sure lots more to come. Talya was the 40th second cousin born into the "Garis" family this year!

Here she is in her red, white and blue to celebrate the 4th!

The other day Talya feel asleep on my chest and it was to adorable. I just layed there for a while with her like that before putting her down to sleep... it was mommy and baby's bonding time. I give her lots of hugs and kisses during the day....I bet if I counted them up it would be a crazy number....no doubt this girl is well loved! In fact, if you count daddy's kisses too it would probally ammount to 100 per day at least! My love for her grows more each day as her personality really begins to show!

We were at my parents house the other day to swim because it has been so nice this week and we have been getting a heat wave. Savannah really is getting attached to Talya and beginning to show real interrest in her. She sometimes does not know how to be gentle yet and flings her limbs. Talya usually is unsure of Savannah yet and does not know what to make of her either. The two will just stare at each other a lot.

Savannah has learned to crawl now and was crawling over to Talya and whining and fussing because she wanted to see Talya and she couln't. It was cute! Jaime came over and lifted Savannah up to see her and Savannah would get all excited and wave her hands and feet around and giggle then as she looked at Talya. It makes you wonder what she thinks when she sees her because she has her own little giggle with Talya that she doesn't use when she giggles at other people.

I took Talya for a check-up the other week at about 10 weeks old and she weighed exactly 10 pounds and was 22 inches long. I was expecting her to be more weight and Randy guessed 12 pounds and I guessed 11 pounds before she had gotten weighted and we both were off. She is gaining weight a little slower than I thought, but she is still about the 50th percentile for everything, so they weren't concerned. She is definitly growing because 5 weeks ago when she was there she was 8.10 pounds and 20 inches long. I guess she will be in 0-3 month clothing a little passed the 3 months. She is starting to get some fat and rolls on her now though. I know they say that breast feed babies can gain weight a little slower than formula fed babies during the first 6 months anyway because it goes through them faster. The doctor said all looks good and she gets a clean bill of health and is developing in a normal track.

Stay-tuned for more!...
