christmas eve

We always spend christmas eve going to Branchcreek's service. We go to the earlier one and than go back to my parents afterward to eat appetizers and open up gifts. I look forward to it!

The choir that sings...

They have candle light at the end of the service while we sing and pray. We all have a lit candle.

Since both girls had their matching christmas dresses on, we decided to take them back to the sleigh in the foyer for pictures. Jaime and I love to match them for christmas and easter. They hammed up the photo shoot.

After the photo shoot, it was time to get off the sleigh and leave to go to my parents but Talya wanted no parts of it. She loved that sleigh and wanted to continue to stay on it, so she proceeded to have a temper tantrum on the floor of Branch's foyer. It was actually kind of amusing to watch.... :)

Look at that poor girly with the tear and everything. She is falling apart for the sleigh... it was a great moment to catch on camera to show that parenthood is sometimes interesting :)

We got back to my parents and heated up the appetizer and scarfed it down.... as you can see below. We were hungry when we got back! :)

the menu consisted of ham & swiss cheese pie, a warm cheese bread bowl with crackers, Little mini hot dogs, shrimp and more...

Jaime and Randy enjoying a nice glass of wine.... for the Holidays

Ok, I know they look like they have had one to many but really this is the 1st glass and they are just being goofy again. :)

Now my dad's goofiness.... he wanted me to get a picture of 3 shrimp tails hanging out his mouth. We were in a goofy mood again :)

Talya and Savannah climbing on mom-moms table... it is not made of wood but something more durable so it lasts through grandkids wear and tear....

Mom-mom and chase (my brother Joey's son)

So cute.....

I love how her eyelashes stand out as she looks down..

mom-mom with her grandkids... I love this picture...

mom-mom and Uncle Jeff with the kids...

Jaime teaching Talya some camera skills.... she is very concentrated and intrigued.... perhaps she will be a photographer :)

Joey and Amanda with the kids...

We went around the room opening cousins gifts first an gifts from the grandparents...
I am opening Talya's gift...

Savannah opening up her gift from me and Randy...

Yeah a racin' little people toy. She had no car toys so we decided to get her that for something different.

Chase opening up his gift from us... bath toys with PJ's and a "Idea card" set.

It is funny how much she loves her Uncle Jeff and comes to sit on his lap or be picked up by him.

Opening mom-mom and pop-pops gift to Talya...

A geo--track train set... Savannah got one too since they are both into trains right now....

We moved on to opening up gifts between the siblings. We pull names for the siblings and their spouses.... Joey bought Jeff golf frisby

Jaime got a velour outfit from Amanda...
Talya and Savannah were into it that night and wanted to be around whomever was opening gifts...

Amanda got a necklace and earring set with a gift card from me....

Joey got golf balls and golf tees with "Bourne ultimatum" from Randy

Randy got a golf club and some candy from Jeff...

randy got his favorite candies and was savoring the taste already....

You don't realize it but he just got done saying "cavities" before the pic was taken all sarcastic :)

I am trying to act like my dad in this photo... he always acts weird when opening gifts and has to feel them and make weird faces...

Jaime got me a shirt with a matching necklace and earring set and a chick flick too...

I was excited about this purchase.... my mom got me a nice food processor for christmas/birthday. I only have a very tiny one from my engagement party 7 years ago so I was happy!

Ok... here is what I am talking about! He always has to act weird and funny when opening gifts...
putting bows around him or on him, feeling his gift with his eyes closed or making weird faces. It is predictable but funny!

!

there he is acting like the bubble bag is his gift...

We all went together and got him an accuweather clock. It is small and attaches to the frig and updates you on the day and weeks weather every 15 minutes from accuweather. It is pretty nifty and my dad loves the weather.

Mom got an album of pictures and two framed pictures from Joey and Amanda...

Mom got a calendar, and photo frig magnets along with other odds and ends from me, Randy and Talya...
