We always get together as a family on my side for New Year's Day and celebrate the day as part of our heritage (Germans/Dutch)... we have pork and sauerkraut with dumplings and is said to bring prosper to your family. I love the tradition, any excuse to get together and eat good food.
Talya loved pushing chase around the hardwood floor in the walker.... she had him really going!

Talya loves to held by either Jaime or Jeff.
They thought it was so cute and funny that as soon as she saw the duckie with the spout of hair on its head she grabbed it and stuffed that and her thumb in her mouth.
What a perfect gift! The duckie is now one of her favorites, sometimes even more than her care bears now....
She also opened up her gift from my Aunt Sandy - a puzzle book! It was nearing the end of the night and Talya was ready for bed and not cooperating.
