It was really hot that day and she was awake and I wanted to be outside - so mommy decided to try her in the baby pool for the first time. She loved it and got all excited and splashed all around. She even tried to grab ahold of the little floating toys that went past! The only thing - was mommy does not have "Swimmy diapers" yet and does not see a point to buying them till next year - so she had one huge puffy diaper when she was done - it looked funny! I forgot how much they held water!
Below - is Talya chilling out in the "jumperoo" at Mom-mom's house after pool time. We changed her into a new diaper - but she just looked to content to put clothes on her, so she had fun for a while just in her diaper.
Savannah and Talya's first official time of playing together!
Talya is about a little over 3 months there. It was cute - Talya was in the exersaucer spinning the little rattle and Savannah came up and was trying to spin it the other way! They met eyes and looked at each other. Of course, we don't know yet if Savannah is trying to play with Talya or claim her territory! We think it might be the later - because she always seems to play with the toy Talya is playing with - even if it is something she would never bother with and just the other night - my dad was showing Talya "Savannah's pinky (a pink beany baby) and along came Savannah grabbing it from my dad's hands. She supposively takes after me in looks and in her attitude - I used to grab toys from my brother Joey to claim it as mine. Whatever the excuse - it was still really cute to watch though!
