We hosted a picnic for our small group that meets every Wednesday night. We love our group and love to spend time with them - it was a nice time! We had the picnic on the 2nd Saturday of September.
After talking a while indoors - we moved to the outdoors... even though that day was a little chilly which you would never guess with the recent weather we have been having...
Randy made Barbecue chicken and beef kabobs on the grill for the adults and hotdogs for the kids... I must say he spent quite a bit of time on the kabobs making them look all pretty before grilling them...

We let the kids eat first so the adults could tend to them...
They are eating away.... I made a hash brown casserole and baked beans and salad for the sides... theres Jordan, Joriana, Talya, Ben and Elaina at the table..

After we ate.. the men took the kids to the swing set while the women got the break for a change and sat around the table and chatted... so nice!

We had the sand and water tables out and Ben loved it so he needed his extra fleece off while he played...

Lots of the kids playing on our swingset... which has gotten a lot of use lately with this even, the playgroup and by just Talya as well... we got it off of Craigs list and it was only 3 years old for a good deal...
Heathers taking pictures too... Talya loves to climb up and go down the slide herself with no help although we still like to stand there as she does it to be safe....

and Ben enjoying the climbing... he was trying to figure it out at first but caught on after a short while and soon he was joining Talya in the climbing and sliding...
Mark setting a bad example for the kids :) He was testing out the swingset to see if it held him and Randy was sure it would so luckily it did! :) It does look like a cool picture though..,
After chatting and playing outside we moved indoors since it was getting pretty chilly... we had icecream sundaes or icecream cones which ever they preferred and talked and played indoors!

Liz tried to share her icecream with Ben and he wanted no parts of it and demanded his own! so they were getting him it but not fast enough... he likes his icecream. I don't belame you though!
Andrew was test-tasting Bens icecream but Ben was like "Get your own Dad!"

We relaxed and just chilled and talked some more.... it was such a nice time!
Saunders and the Ferrences were the last to go.... and Elaina and Talya were having so much fun playing together! They were so good! Talya is used to playing with older girls though with Savannah. It was funny Talya loves her care bears so she shared them with Elaina and they were giggling about it...
Later on... Elaina would stand up and drop to the ground and I saw Talya mimicing her and do the same thing and they were laughing hysterically......... it was too cute!
