Talya decided that she wanted to give us her very own Christmas present and crawled on Christmas Day. She looked very close to crawling the past 2 weeks and I think it helped seeing her cousin Elijah crawling around Christmas day. He is 6 weeks older than her and crawled last week - so she took some pointers from him, observed closely and then attempted it herself. Of course, she crawls a little weird and tires out easily, but can do it. She is on her way to independence and mommy is a little sad. My mom said "just you wait - you are all excited right now but in a few weeks when she is into everything it will lose its excitement!" We are on our way to babyproofing the house now.
We didn't catch her on camera on Christmas Day but here she is the day after Christmas - all proud of herself! She usually only crawls right now when she really wants something bad enough... otherwise she stays put for now!
